1) ok good, Omarion cut his braids off...but doesn't it seem like EVERY RnB singer does that at a certain point in their career? I only remember it being significantly successful for one person and that's Trey Songz

3) Didn't this song used to have Wayne on it?....So now you have Gucci?....a step down don't you think? But hey Gucci is the hottest nigga in the streets right now smh

Well, numbers from Fat Joe's latest album (he had another one?) has led me to believe that no one, I repeat, NO ONE is doing badder than Fat Joe. Mr. Joey Crack failed...epically to crack 9,000 sales and all but thanked 50 Cent for the 8,343 copies that he did sell.

Ok so as I sit at my computer, fresh out of rehearsal in preperation for my tour in London...I ponder the state of the music industry and I just had to get some things out, let me know if you feeling me on this.

I always here people say "I'mma bring hip hop back"...my question is "Bring hip hop back to what? The 80's..the 90's?" NO how about we bring hip hop forward. Pardon me for quoting Maino just then but he had an excellent point. I'll take it further, why stop at hiphop. I'm a rapper, sure but I write/produce/perform rock, pop, jazz, & classical as well as hip hop.

What i'm getting at is what happened to the days when niggas were serious about there craft and wanted to be great at everything..not just rapping or singing. I'm talking about true musicians like Curtis Mayfield and Willie Hutch and Quincy Jones...these guys wrote every note, every lick, and could play just about every instrument you heard. I'm not saying bring the 70's back, but why does our generation feel that they've become great because they can beat everyone in their class in a freestyle battle.

If you have the TALENT to be a great freestyler..why not take it further, become a great writer and all around better musician. You'd be surprised at how much you can do if you put forth the effort to try.

I started off as a classical musician, I play the cello. I became great at that and then I became a great producer, then a songwriter, then a rapper, then a great designer...now I've gotten so bold as to start playing guitar and piano.

And i'mma leave on one note...one more mothafrickin note lol...let's bring back originality, it's like niggas are afraid to be different. People hate on 808's & Heartbreaks but i respect Ye for TRYING to be different...niggas may not feel my shit but I'mma stay left field if it kills me. And in speaking on originality, I'd like to point out a few people who I think are wildly original and that you all need to check out and give some credit to.

Busy/FML

Ok so, I apologize for not having updated you guys in a few days but i've been crazy busy. Besides studying for final exams in Physics, Math, & Electrical Circuits...I was in New Jersey at the Ramsey World Wide music conference this weekend. I recieved great reviews from all of the A&R's and Executives and each one of them told me to contact them with my press kit. Besides that, i'm not going to mention the fugaga that took place with certain people at the event.

I got back in Va on Sunday and had to go to wodu that night for a chance to meet the talented miss nikki minaj of young money ent. It was refreshing to discover that she was really cool and down to earth.

And then monday came....I hate monday's, i'm going to write a diss track against monday. I took two of my exams today and then when i was finally ready to go home...I discovered that I had either locked my keys in the car or misplaced them somewhere on ODU's campus. I called the locksmith (wondering why his parents in SC have his spare keys still) and as soon as i call him it starts raining, thundering, and hailing.......only thing I could think of is this locksmith better not charge me an arm and a leg for labor just because of some punk ass rain....

so i type this blog as I wait for the locksmith...the anticipation is killin me lol (mixtape May 11th)

Muy Hilariouso: April fools (the belated version)

so yeah...umm i'm a couple of days late but I felt the need to share these few pranks in which I witnessed and took part in lol.

1) I was at school in the chic-fil-a line and the guy in front of me paid for his meal with a 20 dollar bill...the lady in line said "Baby, this twenty is false" this guy began to argue and throw his lil' temper tantrum like "NO LADY, I GOT THIS OUT OF AN ATM!"...i stood in line like...nigga hurry up, i'm hungry...then in the middle of his rant, the lady says "April Fools!" the entire line was dying laughing lol.

2) After witnessing that at the Chic-fil-a line, I decided to pull a prank of my own...so i called my grandma (shouts out to grandmas everywhere). When she picked up the phone i said in a solemn voice "grandma, I need some advice"....she replied "what is it child"...I said ".....I...I...got a girl pregnant"....LMFAO needless to say she went off....but for fear of giving her a heart attack, i'm not going to prank my grandma anymore. 

3) This one was really a weak prank...but my friend margie is so gullible that it worked..and a lot better than it should have. She is a die hard Cowboys fan, and as we walked by the tv the cowboys were on sportscenter. she asked "cam, why are they on tv..whats happening?" Well..i replied "oh, they are firing the coaching staff and replacing tony romo with jay cutler"...and then a second later I said "April Fools"....apparently she didn't hear me because the next day she called me asking what I had said about the cowboys...I was like "ummm Margie, that was an april fools prank" needless to say she was very upset with me because she had gone and told everyone that she knew HAHAHA

Ok, so I recently gave in to the infamously addictive social networking site known as Twitter (dun dun dunnnn). Yeah so I was on youtube and imagine my surprise at the coincidence that youtube suggested i watch this video. It looked funny and did not disappoint.

Just A Thought: Ciara-Never Ever

Ok, so me and my boy Juddah were in the studio a week or so ago...and the Ciara song came on the tv...of course we were gonna stop and watch the video cuz she's fine as hell. But TLO said something that made a lot of since.

If the lyrics of the song are "if that boy doesn't love you by now...he will never ever love you.." why is the song so happy sounding...the fact that the person you are in love with doesn't love you and may not ever love you isn't something to be joyous about lol. 

I still like the song...but thanks to Juddah i can never hear that song the same way again.

......and let us not discuss how young jeezy's verse had nothing to do with the rest of the song lol.
